The parochial system includes one school (Kindergarten through 8th grade). Also within the town are numerous nursery schools and Norwalk Community College.

Recreation - The town of Norwalk features over 700 acres of parks, beautiful wide beaches, an 18-hole public golf course, a boat launching ramp, a town marina, and 55 public tennis courts. In addition it offers opportunities for boating, camping, fishing, golf, picnicking, skating, swimming and tennis. There are two private golf clubs, eight private yacht and boat clubs, and a comprehensive YMCA.
Transportation- Metro-North offers one hour train service to New York City from several Norwalk stations. Interstate 95 or the Merritt Parkway may be used to reach neighboring communities - Stamford in 15 minutes or White Plains in 35 minutes. Connecticut Limousine offers scheduled service to Kennedy, LaGuardia, and Newark airports. The municipal bus system, "Wheels", has many routes, and taxi and helicopter services are available.
Government - Norwalk is governed by a Mayor and 15 Councilmen.
